Construction of Pump Station BG02 and Emergency Storage
The MCQ Group along with their partners including Hallco Engineering, Bother Boring and J&P Richardson completed the recently commissioned pump station and associated works for this project situated at Burpengary for Moreton Bay Water.
Pipe work required to be undertaken included approximately 200 metres of gravity sewer, of which 80% was undertaken by tunnel boring method under existing car parks and busy Station Road. There was also around 200 metres of rising main which was constructed using open cut, tunnel boring and directional drilling. All construction methods were undertaken to lessen the impact on local businesses and the public in general.
Other works undertaken included fencing, landscaping and the provision of concrete driveway and drainage and all restoration works carried out to the satisfaction of all parties concerned.
The completion of this project within the timeframe was paramount to The MCQ Group and the efforts and assistance by our partners ensured the success.
